The Motherless Mother
Your mother died. But you kept living.
And somehow, life keeps finding new ways to make you miss her.
The Motherless Mother is a reflective storytelling podcast about those moments—the ordinary ones, the milestones, and the ones you never see coming.
Hosted by Tishka Moss, each episode begins with an honest story and explores the ways mother loss continues to meet us as we move through motherhood, midlife, family, memory and simply becoming the women we're becoming.
Because losing your mother doesn't mean you stop being her daughter.
Years later, there are still questions you wish you could ask. Things you understand about her now that you're older. Moments you wish she could see. Days when you're perfectly capable of handling everything yourself—and still just want your Mom.
This isn't a podcast about getting over grief or learning how to move on. It's a place to recognize some of the things we feel but don't always know how to name.
Some episodes may make you cry. Others may make you laugh, remember something you'd forgotten, or see your own experience a little differently.
So take a few quiet minutes.
You don't have to be the mother, wife, professional or person holding everything together here.
For a little while, you can simply be her daughter.
